Our Story
The Furniture Superstore was founded in 2003 and is locally owned and operated by Rochester natives Jim Sather and Mark Byer.
Because we have one of the largest stores in the state of Minnesota, the companies we’ve chosen to do business with give us the best prices and service. In turn, we’re able to pass those great savings and timely shipments on to you, our valued customer.
Keep in mind, while browsing our website or visiting our showroom, if you don’t see what you are looking for, just ask! Often times we can get what you’re looking for with a little bit of extra digging.

Largest Store In The Area
Furniture Superstore is the largest store in the area, with nearly 100,000 square feet of showroom space. That space is filled with more than 100 sofas, 45 sectionals (both stationary and reclining), and more than 30 different bedroom and dining room options. In addition to living room, bedroom and dining options, the Furniture Superstore also displays the area’s largest selection of Serta and Beautyrest mattresses and accessories.
With all of this space, it is nearly impossible to not find the perfect pieces for your home. It also allows us the unique ability to get you your product quickly. If your perfect piece isn’t in stock and you’re in a hurry, we have the ability to sell many of our items right off the floor.

Value is what our store and staff are really after. Often, value and cheap are terms that can be confused with one another. We aren’t here to sell cheap product. We’re here to offer you the best quality at the low Superstore prices you’ve come to expect. We understand that everything we sell and how you are treated reflects on our store and it is you who will ultimately determine how successful we are.

If you have become used to waiting weeks or months for your previous furniture purchases, fear not - we’re not like the “other guys”. Though we have our special-order exceptions, much of our showroom is well-stocked in our 15,000 square-foot warehouse or available to be sold right off the floor! In many cases, we can also offer same- or next-day local delivery.

Special orders don’t have to be as intimidating as they sound. Our sales staff makes the custom process easy and fun!
